A winter 5k with Natalie Pickford

Well, it’s been a while!

Recruitment has definitely ‘got in the way’ of running of late!

As December approaches, all thoughts turn to the final push for the year before we consume our own bodyweight in mince pies! I’ll be aiming to get out and about to catch up with as much of you lovely lot as possible, whatever the weather! ❄🥶

Delighted to have been joined last week by Natalie Pickford, Associate Development Director at Countryside. Natalie has long been a champion of, and driving force behind, raising the profile of women in engineering and construction. As a STEM ambassador she has also spent a great deal of time educating children about the opportunities for women in the sector.

Crucially she’s committed to not only raising the number of women entering the sector, but also retaining women into leadership roles. Her passion for this is infectious and having progressed from graduate to Director, I’d say she was incredibly well placed to provide insight, inspiration and support.

A big thanks then for making the time to join me in what was her first run in 20 months! Normally focussed on circuits and gym work, Nat dug out the runners and smashed it! 👏🏼

Here’s to her continued success in the sector and all the best for her new chapter ahead with Countryside!
